aka Minuartia rubella, Arenaria Rubella, Beautiful Sandwort, Boreal Stitchwort, Reddish Sandwort, Vernal Sandwort, . Identification of this species can be difficult even for the professional botantist and this may be misidentified. Very thin flowering stems, more erect than the Alpine Sandwort, reach 4″ (10 cm). Fairly common on rocky ridges and talus slopes between 5,000′ – 7,000′ elevation.
