Canada Goldenrod
aka Solidago canadensis, Western Canada Goldenrod. Atop stems growing to 5′ (150 cm) sit dense pyramid shaped flower clusters . Lance-shaped to ellipitcal leaves alternate their way up the entire stem connecting without stalks (or petioles). Considered the lowest growing of the Park’s three goldenrods (see alpine zone for Dwarf and Northern, S. simplex and S. multiradiata).
