Arrow-leaf Buckwheat
aka Dwarf Mountain Fleabane, Trifid Mountain Fleabane, Fernleaf Fleabane. A low plant with stems rising from 1.25″ – 10″ (3 – 25 cm) with single flower-heads which are white or pinkish. The tufts of leaves are almost entirely basal and are densely woolly. The unique “cut” leaves are divided into three segments, each of which is divided again by three. Normally widespread but considered uncommon in the Park. Found on rocky flats between 4,500′ to 9,000′ elevation.
