Dwarf Goldenrod
aka Mt. Albert Goldenrod, Sticky Goldenrod. A small plant that may not exceed much more than 3″ (to 10 cm). A cousin to the taller Northern Goldenrod (S. multiradiata) which reaches 12″ (30 cm). The flowers form a very compact head atop a leafy stem. The leaves are spoon-shaped and are up to 2″ long. Found on talus slopes and open ridge tops between 6,000′ – 7,000′ eleveation.
