aka White Marsh Marigold, Alpine White Marsh Marigold, Mountain Marsh Marigold. The fleshy leaves usually appear immediately after the snow melts. There is usually only one flower per stem which can be up to 6″ (15 cm) tall. The flower is very attractive, white to greenish and may have a ting of blue and is approximately 1 1/2 ” wide. Usually found near snow-beds, streambanks (or in streams), seepage areas between 5,000′ to 7,000′ elevation.
