Glacier Lily
aka Yellow Avalanche Lily, Pale Fawn-lily, Yellow Fawn-lily, Dogtooth Violet. A smaller yellow version of the white Avalanche Lily but still showing a beautiful flower up to 2″ (5 cm) across. Most often found one per stem nodding from 6″ – 14″ stems. Like the Avalanche Lily the petals curve back sharply to display long anthers and a cream-colored branched stigma. Spectacular in large masses in open meadows. Usually found at between 5,000′ to 7,000′ elevation.
