Large False Solomon's Seal
aka False Spikenard, Plumed Solomon’s Seal, Feathery False Lily-of-the-Valley. Impressive for its size, 3′ (1 m) or more, and the beauty of its large leaves, up to 8″, which seem to stair step up the stalk. The small flowers at the end of the stem form a plumy panicle, which is a more open or branched raceme. Flowers in May and June and produces greenish-red berries in season. Usually found in moist forest understory to 5,000′ elevation.
