Long-stalked Clover
Although a common clover it wasn’t believed to exist within the Park and is not included in David Biek’s Flora of Mount Rainier National Park. However, Dr. Peter Dundiddie “discovered” it the meadow southwest of Lake Eleanor in late July of 2012. Thanks to Dr. David Giblin, herbarium collection manager, for passing on the information resulting in a field visit which produced these photographs. (ref. WTU Herbarium)

Genus:

Trifolium is Latin tres for 'three' and folium, 'a leaf'

Species:

longipes means 'long-stalked'
