aka Tall Cottongrass, Many-spiked Cottongrass, Many-spiked Bog Cotton. The stem leaves are indeed narrow, 1/8″ – 1/4″ (2 – 6 mm), are flat below the middle but triangular and channelled toward the tip and can rise to 2′ (60 cm) in height. White bristles in drooping spikelets form the foral feature with two to eight in loose clusters. Found in meadows, streambanks, near lakes to about 6,000′ elevation.
