Smooth Alumroot
aka Alpine Alumroot, Smooth Heuchera. Extremely small flowers with white petals along long stems 6 – 24″ (15 – 60 cm). The leaves are heart-shaped and longer than broader forming a base for the long whispy stems. Easy to overlook and could be confused with the foamflowers. An important medicinal plant used by native peoples for a variety of cures. Common along streambanks, rock crevices, roadcuts, mossy talus slopes to 5,000′ elevation.
