Spearleaf Arnica
aka Seep Spring Arnica, Longleaf Arnica, Spear-leaf Leopardbane. Along with the Rydberg’s, A. rydbergii, the Spearleaf is one of the rare arnicas in the Park that can be found in the alpine zone. It grows to 20″ (50 cm) with multiple stems rising from a woody base. Stems have five or more pairs of leaves which lanceolate in shape, 2″ – 5″ (5 – 12 cm) in length and are not toothed. Usually found on talus slopes.

Species:
