Tinker's Penny
aka Dwarf St. John’s Wort, Bog St.John’s Wort, Creeping St. John’s Wort. This diminutive plant spreads from runners with stems growing from 2″ – 10″ (5 – 25 cm) long. The leaves, opposite each other, clasp the stems and are ellipital to ovate. The flowers have five salmon-yellow petals probably just 1/4″ long. Usually found in boggy places, meadows and seeps between 2,500′ to 6,000′ elevation.
