Tufted Saxifrage

Tufted Saxifrage
aka Tufted Alpine Saxifrage. “Tufted” means arranged in a dense cluster. The little leaf-clusters are very crowded as are the flowers which overlap to form a brilliant floral display. Usually found on rocky ridges and cevices in the Park at between 7,000′ to 8,500′ elevation. Can also be found in rocky places at sea level.
