aka Dutch Clover.The common name ‘clover’ is from the Latin ‘clava’ which means club and refers to the leaf shape which resembles the familiar “club” of playing cards. The T. repens as well as the T. pratense (see Red Clover) are introduced species. Usually has three leaflets (rarely four) each up to 1″ (2 cm). White or pinkish flowers form dense round heads up to 1″ in diameter. Usually found in disturbed areas, roadsides to 5,000′ elevation.
