aka White-flowered Hawkweed. The name come from the belief that hawks could improve their vision through their addiction to this plant. The plant grows to 4′ (120 cm). The flowerheads are made up of ray flowers only, are about 1/2″ broad, and form open clusters. Upper leaves are not stalked whereas the lowers leaves have slender stalks, oblong; both bristly with short hairs. Common in the Park usually in open forests, clearings, meadows, along roadsides mostly below 5,500′ elevation.
